New intro

In today's entry I talk about my parents outing me to my uncle, my first foray into finding a job as Jessica, a party at my friend Allison's house and yet another update on my name change.

I also talk about the rebirth of Susan's Radio Show - Online and how I'm going to be on a panel about podcasting at California Dreamin' near the end of April.

  • Hey Jessica... I know you told me about the "over bearing" comment you had got before and it didn't click to me why they would say that. And I still don't know why they would chose that word, but I realized something about the pre-screen. I've been told that the "reason you're leaving your current job" question is a trap. Employers read it as, "What will you say about us when you leave?" So I was always told to answer in a way that didn't make the company look guilty at all, even if they were. Stuff like "I wanted a job with a better health plan" or "I needed more time off and they couldn't accommodate" or "The commute was too far" looks really good. I should have realized when you told me before. Oh yeah and good job on the show. :)
