Transition questions from a friend

Woohoo - another episode. :)

In today's entry, I answer some questions a new friend sent me after finding out that I was trans. Well, I actually recorded this yesterday but, you know...

Job search

This entry was actually recorded a month and a half ago before I went out to California for Susan's wedding. I didn't realize I'd never posted it but figured better late than never. :)

In this episode, I have yet another new intro song from a band I played with a few times and actually sang a song with on stage back in the "old days" when I was doing the macho rock star thing. Most of the episode deals with starting my job search in earnest and what that's been like since going full time.

I also talk about how incredibly awesome my parents continue to be with my transition and something very special they offered to help me out with.

I'm finally done with my name change :)

This entry is mostly about the completion of my name change. I also talk a bit about work and the possibility that I may be needing to look for a new job very soon.

I conclude today's entry with an essay about why we should cherish being transsexual. I mentioned that I was going to try to find the essay's author and the closest I could come to that was a posting at transsexual.org called Cherish that seemed to be an original posting by the site's author. If anyone knows the real identity of the author, please post it in my comments or send me an email.

New intro

In today's entry I talk about my parents outing me to my uncle, my first foray into finding a job as Jessica, a party at my friend Allison's house and yet another update on my name change.

I also talk about the rebirth of Susan's Radio Show - Online and how I'm going to be on a panel about podcasting at California Dreamin' near the end of April.

Ski trip

This entry was recorded on Sunday but I'm just getting around to posting it today.

I talk about skiing with a friend on Sunday, female bathroom habits, my first Stonewall Democrats meeting, and some other tidbits. Enjoy!

Gold Rush, SRS-O, more full time stuff

In today's entry I look back at the Colorad Gold Rush conference, some drama at the conference which wound up spelling the end of Susan's Radio Show - Online, and an update on how things have been going at work.

I've cranked up the audio volume a little bit more on this entry so hopefully it sounds ok now. Please let me know if it's too loud or still too quiet. :)

First post!

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog! Like many people getting started with all of this, I'm not really sure what the focus of this blog will be just yet. For now, I plan on making it more of an audio blog just talking about things happening in my life.

On that note, here is my first audio blog entry! :) In this entry, I start things off by telling everyone a little about myself and what's happening in my life right now.

Of course for anyone who knows me - and I'm assuming you probably do if you're here - you know that I'm undergoing transition from male to female. That's right - I'm a transsexual! hehe. After my brief introduction I jump right into talking about the next big step in my transition - going full time.

For the uninitiated, full time means that I will no longer be living any part of my life as a male ever again. This presents some unique challenges and I talk about one of the big ones, the legal changing of my name.
